A chart ships CRDs in its crds/ directory, and the HelmRelease has no crds settings. What happens to those CRDs on upgrade?

Answer: New CRDs are created, but existing ones aren't updated
Explanation
Create is the default for both install.crds and upgrade.crds: missing CRDs are created and existing ones are left alone, following Helm's caution about CRD changes. Set CreateReplace to update CRDs on upgrade. Flux doesn't delete CRDs that disappear from a chart.
